Written by Daniel Carter

Very good news for all the LG V40 ThinQ users as the new update based on Android Pie is now started rolling out for LG V40 ThinQ Indian units. The update was already available in other regions and just today LG has released the update in India as well. The main highlight of the update is obviously Android Pie, however, there is some improved system optimization and bugfix as well included in the update.

Indian unit LG V40 ThinQ users were eagerly waiting for the Pie update and here it is now, users can happily enjoy all the interesting features of Android 9.0.

The update information was shared by someone on Twitter and here is the screenshot of the update notification captured directly from LG V40 ThinQ.

The size of the update is around 1.5GB which is pretty big, so it is advisable to connect your device with stable internet connection while downloading the update.

The update is currently rolling out via OTA(Over-the-air) and would take some time to reach every unit, once the update will available you’ll be notified by a notification. Till then, you can try checking manually by going to Settings >> About Phone >> System Update.

So, that’s all for now, do let us know whether you have received the update on your LG V40 ThinQ or not. 😉
