At this time almost every other OEM is forcing Android 10 Update for their respective devices even Xiaomi already pulled out Android 10 update for their many devices except Mi A2 Lite. Today Xiaomi released another new update for Mi A2 Lite and users were expecting it to be Android 10 update but sadly it didn’t happen. Xiaomi rolled out a new January update for Mi A2 Lite which is based on Android 9.
Users were not at all expecting this update to be based on Android 9, and this confirms that the Android 10 update for Mi A2 Lite will take some more days to be available for Xiaomi. However, leaving that aspect aside, let’s talk about this current update. So, as we already said this update is based on Android 9 and the major highlight of the update is the latest security patch. The update carries a build number as V10.0.18.0.PDLMIXM and weighs around 105 MB. Below is the screenshot of the update notification.
This update is rolling out via OTA(over-the-air) and it would take some time to reach each and every Mi A2 Lite unit. In the meantime, you can keep checking the update notification manually by going to Settings >> About Phone >> System Update.
